Shake the Dust

This ones for the lonely.  For the hurt and the broken.
This is for the children sitting outside of hospital rooms. This is for the criminals.
For the rich and the famous.

Shake the dust.

This is for the kids that have high expectations of them.  This is for the ones that don't have a family.
For the folks that sit on trains all day just to keep warm.
This is for the abandoned.  For the people in this world who sleep through the night, dreaming of a better life without realization of reality until it hits them straight in the face.  This is for the trapped.

  Shake the dust.

This is for the sluts and the skanks.  For the judged and the judgemental.
For the scared and the feared.
This is for the the bruised and the beaten.  For the dancers without legs.  For the droughts without rain
This is for that someone.  This is for that everyone.
Everyone that knows the meaning of pain.

Shake the dust.

This is for the failures.  This is for the cancer patients who have lost all control.
This is for the unnoticed.  For those that feel like leaves in the wind.
or dust that just sits...

This is for the non-believers.
For the people that have ever been numbed by the natural pain killers of a broken heart.
For the fists that are hit by the innocent's skin.

Shake the dust.

Shake it.

Those who are abused. Physically. Mentally. Emotionally.
For the deaf that will never grasp music.
For the discriminated and especially those that have no reason to be.
For the slaves that are captive by their own addictions.
Those that will never live up to expectations.

Shake the dust.  Until you can't shake it anymore because your shaken out.  Until your body aches because you have shaken so hard.  Until you are so fatigued that all you can do is expect the unexpected.

And know, that that dust is shaken.
